This jeep does have the common manual transmission issue known to ALL 2005/2006 Jeeps with 6 speed. When they redesigned it from 5 speed to 6 speed, they made the reverse gear sprag too small and it wants to jump out of reverse. Had two of these jeeps and both of them were the same. I hold shifter in reverse while I back up for 20ft out of parking space and then all 6 forward gears are great. You can look this up on any Jeep site. Its common. One solution is the $250 B&M shifter upgrade, which I have not done.
